Here is my hand spinning a Buddhist prayer wheel. The prayers are molded into the wheel and by spinning it, it throws the prayers to the wind. Often there is a row of several prayer wheels under a little roof as shown in the picture. As you pass them, you give each a little spin with your right hand. |
